Nervous about visiting a dentist?
We have it covered.

Fear of Dentist

Some people are so frightened of dentists that they opt out of necessary dental treatments. We help our patients to overcome their fears with both relaxation techniques and sedation. We are sympathetic about these feelings and encourage our patients to feel free to ask for help.

Sedation

On a case to case basis, we may recommend an intravenous or ‘IV’ sedation. This is generally administered through injection, either on the back of your hand or on the arm. The dose depends on the intensity and duration of treatment.

Good to Know

Once sedated, the patients get drowsy and will not be aware of undergoing any treatment, though, they will be conscious the whole time. The effects of sedatives take some time to wear off and your dentist will let patients know how long it will take for the drugs to clear from your body. Working, Driving or alcohol consumption is prohibited in this period of recovery.

"Our Intravenous sedation service and familiar surroundings of our practice ensure even the most anxious of patients can undergo procedures with utmost comfort."
